Now that I have Spring break to work on my 202 paper, as well as my world politics paper, and my hospitality room’s division paper I am still feeling stressed but I have learned that writing is a process. When I get back to class I need to block out more time in my day to read the paper out loud to catch my mistakes more. Once I finish my second draft for my 202 paper it will be time to begin editing and proofreading this draft. I really need to edit really well and improve upon my actual writing and form. Before I was just trying to get my thoughts down on the paper so I would be organized for the next draft but now, IT’S THE BIG TIME. I need to make my thesis stronger and a statement that is clearer. More details need to be added so it is better for my readers to understand. I also need to move sentences around and possibly whole paragraphs or maybe even omitted. Basically I just need to work my butt off.

Three changes that I will make to improve my paper in order to make my paper better to Develop my THESIS and read over my notes more and
intend to answer in my paper better. I think I need to put in a group similar ideas; consider in what order you want to present these ideas to my reader.
I need to polish my opening paragraphs. Add a snappy lead, define what talking about and why it’s important, and list the three or so points you’re going to make. Read through my article and make sure ive made those points. I also need to Polish my conclusion. The conclusion doesn’t have to be undying prose, but do restate my main points and conclusions.

Along this journey in English 202 I have learned more about my SOURCES OF INSPIRATION, how to come up with ideas, and the purpose of writing. “Why am I writing?” “What is my goal or my purpose for writing?” In most contexts, I think my immediate purpose may be to complete an assignment or get a good grade. But the long-range purpose of writing is to communicate to an audience, and now I know in order to communicate successfully to your audience, understanding your purpose for writing will make you a better writer.
I know to now aim or make goals and use this strategy to achieving that purpose, like this research paper is for me to explain something, by using definitions, examples, descriptions, and analysis in order to make my explanation clearer.
I also now know what it means to publish, and it’s actually very straightforward, it means sharing your writing with someone else, to be noticed, to change, and maybe, the world, (just kidding.)

Holistic Hotels
I. Introduction
I want to abstract more about what hotels and resorts are offering to keep their guests healthy holistically. Holistic Hotels are the growing trend of hotel and resorts, according to leading professionals in the Hospitality industry. The Holistic view promotes a holistic development system integrating body, mind and spirit to create balanced, self-renewing and sustainable tourism developments
a. describe what being holistic means
Being healthy holistically means being physical and mentally whole. All aspects of life are closely interconnected and equally important with each other. Very few people in hotel management are committed enough to take responsibility for providing a healthy nights rest. This is common price at hotels all over the country.
In the past, sustainable tourism practice has been less prevalent, resulting in over development, which can lead to water, air and noise pollution, traffic congestion, and exploitation of resources. I intended to write this for travelers and hotel corporations, so they can take think twice about how they are living their lives and running a business and how there actions will one day affect their future.
b. research of why it is important for travelers to be healthy
-his/her own health and must be an active participant in his/her own healing. Patients are encouraged to be responsible for the daily care of their health through diet, exercise, lifestyle and attitudes about what constitutes wellness. We support our patients every step of the way, helping them to make appropriate choices and take responsibility for their well being.
c. thesis- How can hotels come to a conclusion and recommend to their the travels to take care of themselves and the environment. For this paper are to show the value in being a healthy person.
d. Some incidents of travels/ as well as mine own and there experience with hotels and resorts. Thinking about background and history from my personal experience when I have been hotels and resorts and most of the time, when my family rented rooms at motels or hotels and are not able to stay in them because they are so smelly and toxic! We usually wake up feeling exhausted with our bodies drained of energy. Dust and dust mites, mold and mildew, fragrant detergents and toxic cleaning solutions lead the list of an endless number of common house hold items that have so many toxics in them.
II. More detailed explication of the problem The argument brought forth in this article is the product of a literature review drawing upon multiple streams of current research. Findings — The holistic approach to expatriate selection, training, and organizational support detailed in this paper should be employed by multi-national hotel corporations. Practical implications — This information should benefit hoteliers since the industry is currently experiencing a high rate of failure. Originality/value — No research to date has addressed the issue of expatriate failure from this holistic viewpoint.
a. explain more of what I would like to achieve with my topic. A new study found viruses on TV remotes, light switches and even hotel pens after cold sufferers checked out. The germ testing was done before the rooms were cleaned, so it likely overstates the risks that most travelers would face. It shows the potential hazards if a hotel and resorts turnaround service and how their methods really are used to clean the rooms.
b. Identify my method and how I am going to go about and how I am going to evaluate my topic.
c. I will also explain my rational for this information.
III. Review of Literature/current research/ trends. Hotels are offering all kinds of green programs to keep them up to date with the trend. With the demand, hotels are finding that green saves money. At the annual summer convention of the National Business Travel Association, the group has included eco-friendly elements in hotel design and operations. There are also financial benefits for hotels to installing light bulbs that use less energy or bathroom fixtures that limit water flow. “EARTH-FRIENDLY PRACTICES AT HOTELS HAVE FINANCIAL BENEFITS.”

b. Facts on how much hotels are wasting how much hotels cause health risks to the environment and to the health of their guests. The article discusses that it is the responsibility for eco-friendly policies and practices by the hotels themselves, with some making concerted efforts on such matters as energy efficiency, water conservation, and reducing carbon dioxide gas emissions, however hotels should look into being eco and health friendly because there is an economic incentive. Research by the International Hotels Environment Initiative found hotels that have not yet adopted environmental programs could save between 10 and 40 percent on energy bills, 25 percent on waste and 20 percent on water bills.

The web site Hotel and Resort Design in tourism describes the holistic hotel movement as a new trend in the industry, and how it should be important as a staff at the hotel to have a service Philosophy that delivers service in the hotel industry can often be the key part of a hotel’s success. The web site describes holistic philosophies as respect to the individual customs and traditions of its staff, and incorporates their needs within the hotel or resort.

This website discusses how hotels in Spain are going forth in the movement. The website tells about their philosophy is that each person has a responsibility for his/her own health and must be an active participant in his/her own healing. Patients are encouraged to be responsible for the daily care of their health through diet, exercise, lifestyle and attitudes about what constitutes wellness. We support our patients every step of the way, helping them to make appropriate choices and take responsibility for their well being.

Peter Greenberg. “Eco-friendly travel: Hotels and the green bandwagon.” Wednesday, November 7, 2007. February 7, 2008. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21676630/
This article talks about skeptical guests suspect the towel-washing suggestions as nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt on the hotel's part not to save the environment, but to save on soap and energy and money. As for the shower heads, a simple inspection of local laws most often reveals that the hotels installed the flow restrictors because it's already part of the municipal building code in their area. But with some research the article looks at some positive things hotels are doing for the environment and health like, Honor bar with organic food and beverage options: Honor bars include organic snacks and beverages, and Replaced chlorine bleach with peroxide-based bleach in laundry department. Also n the process of switching from bottled water being made available for free in rooms at turndown to locally made carafes being placed in each room.

The article reports that environmental-friendly practices at hotels have financial benefits. Australia is viewed internationally as a desirable tourist destination. At a time when many other destinations are struggling with tourist health, safety and security issues, Australia is fortunate to have a stable political and social environment with little negative impact on both the community and international visitors. Japan is a very important inbound tourism market for Australia. Queensland, especially the Gold Coast, is a leading tourist destination preferred by Japanese tourists. In recent years, however, the number of Japanese inbound tourists to Australia has declined, while the market has simultaneously been exposed to adverse travel advisories. It is therefore essential for the destination to implement positive initiatives that demonstrate a genuine interest in keeping visitors safe.

No tourist segment is at present marked by such a massive expansion of offers like the ones of spa tourism. Today, only in Germany more than 350 medicinal baths and spas try to position themselves on the market highly demanded "self-payers" (see Deutscher Heilbäderverband 2002, p. 257-573.). Even outside the spas, the offer of health-tourism develops dynamically. The demand market for health-tourism services is very promising and has initiated a world-wide mobilization health-conscious tourists. To be actually perceived in this very growing market, suppliers - particularly medicinal baths and spas - which have a rather "traditional" image - must distinguish themselves with a clear profile. More over, capital projects or business promotions require clear decisive factors towards specialization and how to position oneself in the long-term. Last but not least it remains to be answered how medicinal baths and spas should be presented on the market at the level of tourism destinations or countries in order to differ from other spa destinations. Of course, these questions are not only a challenge for medicinal baths and spas in the German-speaking countries. Particularly in Eastern Europe where today huge amounts of money are invested into the infrastructure of health-tourism, a basis for long-term support factors as well as for decision taking factors are required to align the specific offer with the needs of selected target groups. For this complex setting of tasks the European Tourism Institute (ETI) has developed a well-aligned instrument for data-collection, data-evaluation and data-analysis which makes possible consistent decisions on product development and product positioning for the individual spas well as for marketing on the regional or state level. Therefore, the comparative analysis of spas takes into consideration the needs of the market as well as the specific design of offers and the attractiveness of locations.

The paper has a holistic selection, training, and organizational support approach encompassing variables such as the expatriate's family status, emotional intelligence, dietary and exercise habits, and his/her learning orientation is needed to enhance the odds of the expatriate's success. Reading Responds
Truman Capote’s, In Cold Blood is the true story of a multiple murder of a farming family, the Clutters that changed the small town of Holcomb, Kansas and neighboring communities in 1959. The story weaves a complex psychological story of two men who together committed the murder. Capote researched and wrote details about the lives of the victims and the effect the crime had on where they lived. A large part of the story involves the dynamic psychological relationship of the two felons that culminated in this senseless crime.
Capote came across an article in the New York Times that inspired him enough to travel to Kansas to investigate the murders. Capote brought he brought his childhood friend Harper Lee, who would later write the novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, with him to help gain the confidence of the locals, who distrusted Capote. He describes the town as “The village of Holcomb stands on the high wheat plains of western Kansas, a lonesome area that other Kansans call ‘out there.’”
The two interviewed local residents and investigators assigned to the case and took thousands of pages of notes as research. The killers, Richard “Dick” Hickock and Perry Smith, were arrested not long after the murders. After the criminals were found, tried, and convicted, Capote held personal interviews with both Smith and Hickock. Smith especially fascinated Capote, in the book he is portrayed as the more receptive and guilt-ridden of the two. Capote noted in one of his interview notes, “My files would almost fill a whole small room, right up to the ceiling. All my research. Hundreds of letters. Newspaper clippings. Court records – the court records almost fill two trunks… I have some of the personal belongings – all of Perry’s because he left me everything he owned; it was miserably little, his books, written in and annotated; the letters he received while in prison. . .not very many. . .his paintings and drawings…I think I may burn it all … The book is what is important. It exists in its own right. The rest of the material is extraneous, and it’s personal. What’s more, I don’t really want people poking around in the material of six years of work and research. The book is the end result of all that, and it’s exactly what I wanted to do from it (Capote).” Capote eventually spent six years working on the book, and was not completed until after Smith and Hickock were executed.

Research proposal
I want to research more about the recycling of plastic containers in the world and how it is affecting the human body and the environment. I few years back I saw on the Television show Ellen that Sheryl Crow was battling breast cancer and a leading cause to was her usage of plastic containers. I want to find out more about how the plastic containers and if they either harm or hurt.
My objectives for this research paper are so set my research priorities first. The next step I will prepare the key elements for the research paper that will fulfill the needs required. Next I am going to developed more in depth research about recycling. The I will review, revise, and comment on the drafts, and get final approval for publication for my research.
My research paper will include some of the following topics:
· Americans throw away 2 million plastic bottles an hour.
· Texans generate an average of one ton of municipal solid waste per person per year. This means together we throw away enough garbage to fill the Astrodome in Houston every two weeks.
· Americans’ total yearly waste would fill a convoy of garbage trucks long enough to wrap around the earth six times or to reach half-way to the moon
· Americans throw away enough disposable plates and cups to give the world a picnic 6 times a year.
· Every year, we make enough plastic film to shrink-wrap the state of Texas.
· Recycling waste materials supports about six times as many waste-related jobs as there would be if the same materials were treated as trash.
· Texans use enough glass bottles and jars to fill the Astrodome every 4-1/2 months.
· The energy saved from recycling one glass bottle will keep a light bulb burning for 4 hours.
· PET (polyethylene terephthalate, recycling code #1)soda bottles are the most recycled plastic containers.
· Five recycled 2-liter PET bottles make enough fiberfill to stuff an adult ski jacket. Thirty-five recycled PET bottles make enough fiberfill for a sleeping bag.

I now have a better Idea of how im going to type this paper,. I need to breainstorm more and have a more focused tought. I will now go more broad with with topic and use all plasstic containers and does the re use of them give a person cancer. or does the plastic containers effect the earth. I also am super happy that the requireents were reduced down to 10 from 20. I feel like I can now concentrate more on the paper and the materials rather than just the requirements. Now i just lost my train of thought becaused I just sneezed. So I also took day quil so im and very sleepy and think im going to pass out. But basically my next step is to brainstorm more ideas of what direction I want to tkae my paper in. Hopefully i will not run out of ideas while i’m typing this fiftenn page paper. and maybe even get a nap in here and there. Tonight I have to
